Hi Gents,

Its been a while since I posted any work here, I had to open a new account as I forgot my password!

Some images of my latest piece. The sculpting was a pleasure to paint ... he represents a U-Boat Captain about to depart St.Nazaire U-Boat pens, he is painted to represent a clean clothed/cleanly shaven figure, rather than with heavy beard growth so often seen on return. The flowers were often thrown on deck by on-lookers on de-parting and also they offer some contrasting colour to all that Grey! Apologies for the poor images, some things never change

Great to meet you on Saturday. As Carl says one of the real highlights at S&L.
If it had been a purely figure show this and one other figure would have been the clear front runners for BoS.
And not just my opinion.

You certainly had some cracking pieces at our show and very worthy winners, this one included. Looking forward to seeing next years entries and yes you have to come back to return the Derek Holmes memorial trophy, it's only yours for a year

This figure stood out for me in the posting on that show. Excellent work Carlos! Not easy to bring such a big surface area, as is the coat, to life.
