    Hi Guys,

It's been a while since I painted anything, but I'm back in the saddle again and happy to show you the first pic of my latest bust; Albert Jacka VC by Ken Farrar.

Obviously the face still has a lot of work to be done on it, and the slouch hat is still only primed, but I'm enjoying painting again and this bust is a great one to get started on.

Nice to see you back painting Tony ! I`ve been a slacker too, but you will do a first rate job on Kens great character study of a Real Hero.

Now, if we can only get him to do a bust, and you to paint, Lord Lovat at D-Day in sweater & beret with his Mannlicher rifle the world ( at least our tiny corner ) will be a better place ! ;)

Now you have a great bust in front of you to paint.
I believe you gonna do it justice.

    Hi guys,

Thanks for all the messages of support and encouragement.

I'm still at the base coating stages, but I've cracked on a bit and thought you might like to see my progress over the weekend.

I need to do a lot more work on the face, so please don't jump on it.

The lance corporal chevrons also require a lot more detail.

Here are my latest SBS pics.

I've painted the face with acrylics and now I'm adding a series of oil washes over the acrylics to bring some depth to ther skin tone.

I've also painted the rank chevrons on the arms.

As always comments/ criticisms are welcome.

    Hi! Tony.
I think it's building into a wonderful work gradually.
The fresh tone and khaki of a uniform are very beautiful.
    I'd like to follow.
