    Hi planeteers,

Here is another project I'm working on now for some time. I wasn't very satisfied about my first sculpture in the end. Wrong anatomy, clothes not very well sculpted :(. So I decided to use an existing model as an example to sculpt a figure and improve my skills. I chose for Pegaso's Brun de Villeret which is beautiful sculpted by master Maurizio Bruno.

I started with a wireframe and a head of Pegaso's headset and started adding Magic Sculp. Paying attention to the pose and anatomy. I made in progress pictures of the different stages. Well I let de pictures do the talking.

This is were I'm at the moment. Still have to add a lot of details, re sculpt the lower part of the boots. And sculpting the hands and hat. Details are done with MS/Duro mixture. And some with milliput white.
If the quality of the figure will reach 60% of the original I will be happy.

Thanks for looking and all comments are welcome!

    Cheers,
    Marcel.

Excellent sculpting Marcel, some spots to look again but great work.
For instance: i find the V shape under the knee to thick, and the upperside of the thorax to bulky.
But Marcel, i cannot sculpt so who i'm I to critice your work.

Costas, Steve, Pedro, Roger, Marc, Stefano, Ken, Roc, Gino, Xenofon and Ray thanks for the compliments and positive comments!

Costas: I appreciate your comments, it's always a pleasure to see your sculptures or conversions. And I hope to see many more in the near future.

Steve: I always appreciate your input and advice!

Roger: I hope it will a good or better as the last ones

Marc: Thanks for the input, if you can or can't sculpt doesn't really matter. For me these kind of observations are really useful. I will have a look at these spots a will try to correct it.

Ken: Getting the anatomy right was one of the first lessons I learned from Andrea.

More progress at the end of the week.

    Cheers,
    Marcel.

    Hi Marcel,

I tip my hat to you my friend. This is a superb bit of sculpting. You're doing a magnificent job and I'm sure once you've corrected some of the areas you mentioned, it will look amazing.

Tony, Balazs, Jim and Gordy thanks for the big compliments!

I had some time and made some changes to the left arm and started sculpting the hand. I also made some adjustments to the chest. Hopefully it will look less bulky in the end. Here some pictures:

Lately I was way too busy. And I wasn't much active here on the forum. The little free time that I had was spend on modeling. Hopefully this will get a bit better soon. Well, I made some progress on the figure since the last update. I did a nose correction on the damaged nose due to a fall from the table. Added the hat and placed it on a basework. I added more details and started sculpting the right hand. Now I have to refine some parts, add more details and buttons and create a sword.

Here are the pics, all comments are welcome!

    Cheers,
    Marcel.

I find this very well done Marcel! My sincerest compliments.
You have found a very natural looking pose with nice balance.
Very impressive to see it change from wire and putty to a real figure! I am sure there would be demand if you casted it.

    Cheers,
    Adrian
