I am just preparing some figures for a diorama that is dealing with North Africa 1942.
Maybe you could help me with suggestions to improve the painting?

    1. pumping man with sweat marks

    4. Long Range Desert Group soldier (also perspiring)

    Thanks in advance! :)

Looking good George.....what are you using to get your sweat stains?

I like your idea of the sweat stains, very neat!

I would however paint them a little darker, if they are really sweating at the moment they would be fairly dark, the spots, especially on the LRDG guy looks more like its dried sweat with salt stains, if that is what you are portraying it looks great!

    Beatiful Job!
One small point that you may want to fix. :)
DAK boots (officer figure) and ankleboots had green canvas uppers rather than full leather finish.

    Thanks for your tips!

Anders: the L.R.D.G. guy is just supposed to have dried sweat. I think, also fresh sweat at older clothes sometimes show salt stains at the outher, already dried part. then - you are right - the sweat should be darker.

It´s just very simple: darker blendings of the base colour, but never ever glossy or satin ones. The salt rims are painted with pure white oil colour (you can whipe away too broad strokes better than with acrylic colour)

Arthur: thanks for the hint concerning the boots. It will be altered.
