Looking forward to this The seat of the pants are always a challenge since most reference focuses on the front! In my sculptures I've had to enlist the wife to take photos from all angles to get things just right in the rump area LOL

yeah, a volume check important....

hmmm..I was wondering how many ambitious figurepainters are amongst us.
Not that it really matters, but just curious.
How does one cope with his need to paint and sculpt..?
Does the one lack the other in this slightly hypothetical case..?

I was wondering this because my painting preferences defenitely affect my sculpting style. I like folds
I was really frightened by them but a simple tootpick gave me so much joy.

It was almost like there suddenly was a gentle understanding between me and the curves to be followed. Most of the time these things happen at night, sipping on a single malt which could be a prelude to another question but I'll live with that.
