from the very good AC MODELS RANGE this is an bust i painted along this day.the sculptur has sculpted the eyes closed .gazing down in an humble attitude mildy smiling.because he will hold an helmet with an bullet hole it,that shall show the attitude beeing spared this time.
in no way i was trying, i could find an solution in which it looked as pleasing as on the boxart with eyes closed.
so i simply painted eyes and in the smiling mouth i painted in some teeth with an missing tooth.
so the bust now looks not so mild its more an leerish lurk in it.but for my taste its looking acxcepatble this way too.
closed eyes are very hard to render when you can not paint to well.againb i tried out the andrea paints.
    cheers

    hello
thanks for the comments.as i said i like the range because of their nice attitudes.Mr cairns gets on al items an certain kind of meaning.
ah thanks for showing the item without paint here one gets the difference better.
an good painter surely can cope with the closed eyes.neverless its interesting how only some small altered aspects can change an face in an completly different aspect
like the lean physics and the face looks very british.
in short and really good sculpt.
    cheers

    Markus,
it may be of interest of you but on this day 70 years ago German paratroopers were dropped on Crete over Malemay airfield defended by NewZealand troops.A costly excercise on both sides resulting in the withdrawal of kiwi troops.

    hello andy
yes operation merkur, some see it so the should have taken malta insteed of this and try to snathc qanway gibraltar from the brits.to open the way unmolested for the u boots to reach the sea there.
from around 10000 paras around 3600 where reportet KIA wounded or MIA
    so any third.
yes war, always the same.you die for nothing only the purposes of some dirtbgs.
it seems the human is as dumb as he was in stoneage.because since 5000 years the same princips still work.
the rich chaps in the leading roles start them and the poor footslogers buy the farms in them.
i think you are very eager in your output.i think i will give an order the next time.iam still waiting for the release of the bar gunner in 120mm.would like to order them at yours directly
    cheers

    Very nice.
I am going to start this figure this summer. What kind of color did you use for the shirt ? I think to start with buff but I would be interested to have your opinion.
