Hi friends of this forum!

I show you another project of mine...An old VLS bust...I enjoy it a lot besides "your face" is terrible:mad: ...and I painted it with oils and sincerely the flesh tones seems to light...now I´m improving my tecnique of oainting faces with oils and I hope that the next ones will be better.I intend asap to post a new project that´s is going very well;)

In time, except the face ,all the other parts are painted with enamels (Humbrol and Gunze) and weathered with oils,of course...See and enjoy it:

Best regards for all.Luiz.

I think that the bust is not a good portrayal. Your painting is very nice as he looks cold. I am not a master but there are many here that will give you comments. Your camo is excellent in my opinion and the helmet and the equipment is outstanding! I would suggest a bit more darker shadows on the face. Just my opinion.

well, you cant call that rubbish! its excellent and i like the skin tone; looks cold and pasty faced. The painting of the detail such as the teeth is tops, as is the camo and stuff.
nice thing about oils is its easy to go back aand add more depth if you wish; though not always necessary. The amount of shadowing is a matter of personal taste. in this case perhaps a bit more where the helmet is casting a slight shadow. Nicely done in any case.

Hello Luiz, nice work. The face is a little flat but you can still do some corrections. You can add some redish tones(mixed with base colors or apply as filters) to the cheeckbones, arount the nose very carefully. This bust is large enough so you don't need to paint hard shadows. You can add some above the eyes and the nose. You must had a lot of patience with bullets my friend!
