    Plenty to go at with theses two hefty pieces Steve. Off to a super start with the grey horse.

    haven't had much time recently at the bench, but have painted a few more bits. dapple on the right side of the horses head. started on the horses eyes. blocked in the fur and body colours on the trumpeter and painted his face, need to do a bit more on his eyes

    Horses eyes finished, tongue and teeth painted along with the bridle. Trumpeters's face has also been painted, just a couple of touch ups around the reigns.

    Not sure if this is of any use Steve as it seems to show either red or blue DA724146-AA86-43A4-8885-23A044D4041E.jpeg C5DAC6FE-F1F6-4F84-A48C-53289256B909.jpeg

    H&C as Nap says. They cover all regiments of French Hussars and show uniforms for troopers, trumpeters and officers as depicted by different sources. I’ve got the three books as shown by Nap which cover from the Revolutionary period through the Empire and to the Restoration so if you need anything in the future don’t hesitate to give me a shout.

    Wasnt happy at all with the lace work. might be as i had painted the lace area red after misunderstanding 'reverse' uniform. tried painted blue over the top and then added on the lace - gold, which wasnt correct either. so a total cock up;

    I had heard on a message chat that Mr muscle oven cleaner will remove oil paint from resin, so he was sprayed and left for 30 minutes and this was removed with a toothbrush and warm water. this removed about 85%, so a couple more coatings of the spray and a clean down and it was 99.99% clear of the oil paint, ready for round 2;
