A New Project...?

    Dear Planeteers!

Since the vintage season for me this year is pretty much over (unfortunately!), I'm starting to make me ideas about a newfigure project.

This one could be nice - I call it "The Liberation" ...:

Several years ago, on a whim (and because only a ridiculous price was required), I bought this bust at the "Duke of Bavaria" in Ingolstadt ...:

And when I got home with it, all of a sudden I could not do anything with it! For a solitaire this thing was too boring for me - and for something else I lacked the "igniting" idea.

So the First Sergeant of the Red Army landed in the back of the closet, where I almost forgot it.

And then - many years later - the Ukrainian beauty "Oleysia" from "Tartar" crossed my path! I really fell in love with the girl - and she was bought at the "Duke" this year ...:

A beautiful couple - only the Krasnoarmejets looksmuch too grim.

And when I had almost resigned myself to change the head of the sergeant lavishly, I'm just before the end of the "Duke", when everything was wrapping up, stumbled over this bust here - and could literally shortly before closing time buy it for 'an apple and an egg'...:

The monk laughs so well - that seemed fitting!

I'll only use his head - of course, the goatee comes off and a decent Soviet veteran mustache on the upper lip.

In the Red Army, "Beard" was actually banned, but towards the end of the war it was widely tolerated that voluminous mustaches grew for veterans who were there from day one!

The clearly Asian facial features, on the other hand, fit well with my business, for in Russia (and also the RKKA) there were many soldiers who came from Asia ...

    ...even Cossacks...:

So I'm going to make a cheerful Cossack with Asian face, adored by the festively decorated Ukrainian, whose festive flower wreath in her hair is absolutely authentic...:

Our Cossack will also be celebrating!

He also gets an accordion in his hands...

... that I have downloaded as a paper kit for free from the Internet and I will scale down to the right size on the PC.

Fortunately, the paper kit is already colorful - with lights and shadows ...

I will call this little busts vignette "The Liberation" - celebrating the liberation of a Ukrainian village in 1944 by a Cossack Vanguard of the Red Army!

    Such scenes were hundreds ...:

I also have something to decorate the socle:

A Saint George Ribbon with a miniature version of the Order of the Great Patriotic War - worn in Russia celebrating the "Den' Pobjedy" ("Day of Victory"):

Please let me know what do you think about it!

Then I got a nice gift from Roman Vetrov ...:

The original is the Soviet film "Два бойца" ("Dwa boytsa" - "Two fighters") from 1943 ...:

And I asked Offo if he would do this to me as a bust in 1: 9 - as a unique piece
