Hi all, just a bit of light relief and fun before I get started on the mounted trapper. Also, a chance to try out a couple of new techniques and play with acrylics for a change. Let me know what you think. Cheers.

This is absolutely amazing! I have never seen that furring technique before. Did you pre-mount the lower teeth on a plate, slip it in and cover it with the tongue? No one who hasn't tried it can know how frustrating that operation can be! What is the scale?
I feel presumptuous about offering any suggestion, but since rodents have such glittering eyes, could yours use another coat of varnish?
Thanks for sharing this with us!

Hi Phillip, I give it a week between coats of the medium I use, (Liquin) as it is alkyd based and can be difficult to judge sometimes but I do agree with you and will give them another coat at the weekend. Thanks to you and Jay for looking.

Hi Phillip, no scale is quoted but I would guess at 400mm give or take. Teeth are cast as upper and lower pairs and fit precisely to gums and under tip of the tongue. It is sold by Hawk Miniatures and also Grey Matter Figures. The 'furring' technique is purely acrylics.
