I usually put these on my blog as I would rather keep my vbench for figure stuff...I know it's be a long time.

Anyway someone asked if I'd could post a few paintings, so here are some starting with the most recent. All the paintings are done in acrylic on multimedia board.~Gary

    1. "A Von Steuben Continental" Is actually a soldier from the 2nd Virginia Regiment.

    2. Officer, American Light Infantry Battalions This officer's facing colors identify as being from New Jersey.

    3. Soldier, 4th Virginia Infantry, Company I, "Liberty Hall Volunteers" Early War Confederate units were pretty neat.

    Hi Gary,
Looking good! I must say that the 'Von Steuben' is particularly good and the most accomplished. The 4th VA looks a bit odd because of the black outlines (was it taken from a photograph?). I had the privilege to get to know (and be drawn by) the late, great Rick Scollins many years ago, and your paintings have that same 'I was there' feel. Truly excellent stuff!

    All the best,
    Jon.

    They look great, Gary.
You must get a lot of satisfaction from excellent results like these.
I'd love to try my hand at this kind of painting one day.
    Thanks for posting them.

    Gary,

Beautiful painting to say the least. The 4th Virginia is my favorite by far.
