    The Ottoman Turks called this type of weapon "zamburak",scalebro guys are really innovative.Thumbs up for this one.

    Thought I'd get in before Martin R with some refs on this one ;)

    Seemingly named a zamburak (possibly from the Arabic for wasp), the camel mounted guns replaced similarly mounted large crossbows.

    A simple Google image search finds variations on this and other pics as here and Wiki has a short article here.
