Marc, thank you for the kind words.

    Color Mixtures

    Laces and embroidery:
    A) Base = Mars Orange + Cadmium yellow
    B) Medium Shadows = Mars Orange.
    C) Deep shadows = Allizzarin Brown.
    D) Medium highlight = Cadmium yellow
    E) high highlights = Naples yellow.
    F) Pin points of light = Titanium white.

    Thanks Roc,
Now i can paint (hope so) laces and embroidery without metallic's. These are more convincing.

These laces are not metallic. If I am correct he is supposed to be trooper of the Chasseurs à Cheval of the Imperial Guard. The troopers' lace was in a light orange type of colour called 'aurore' by the French. Have a look at the scabbard and you see the difference between laces and metals (brass).

Jeeze Roc, if you ever get tired of it I've got a nice comfortable shelf for it here, I'll even line it on all three sides with the velvet color of your choice. :) What a beauty!

Cor, thats a beauty, great all rounf I cant see anything amiss, and I love the plume, that looks like a unusual way of sculpting it, and works extreemly well, superb job, and one for the top shelf :D
