Just finished the mounted Hospitaller figure from Pegaso. This was my first go at a mounted figure and the most complex model I've done so far. I'm quite happy with the results (although I'm looking forward to my next figure... one that won't involve so much black!). Thanks for taking a look.

Really fine job David. The flag color sets off the piece very well and was a good choice. I know the black was daunting but you pulled it off nicely.

This is amazing, David! Great job!

Did you use acrylics, oils or both?

Thank you all for the kind words. Black may be a pain to paint, but it seems to photograph well.

I did the entire model in acrylics.

David, for a first mounted figure and as you say your most complex I think you have carried it off nicely.
The blacks are super and I feel your choise of flag sets the whole scene off.
    Great job

    Hi,

it´s not my theme at all, I just paint figures from the WW2 era, but I always enjoy to see great paintworks like this. It´s so amazing just right on spot, especially for black and white´s, which is difficult. Wow.

I hope I can reach a high level in painting like your´s ;).
    Thanks for showing,

    Best regards
    Mike.
