This weekend we had a intense workshop with the spanish master Jaume Ortiz. A great painter and also a great teacher, with a lot of patience and attention.
The workshop was divided in three parts, basically. Face, german camo patterns and field gray. To practice the face techniques, I chose this great mini-bust (1/16) from Heroes and Villains. Following, I will do another mini-bust, a german with a camo tunic.
Figure in Vallejo Black Primer (this is a personal choice, not part of the workshop)
Base in Brown Sand 876
Highlights well marked. They wore made adding Highlights Flesh 342 from the Panzer Aces series.
Shadows well marked, using Shadows Flesh 343, also from Panzer Aces.
Sombras bem demarcadas, usando Sombras Carne 343 da Panzer Aces.
Current stage. I made the contour and began the transition of colors. Also, a couple of washes with Violet 960 and Flat Red 957. As the face is turned, I am following the lessons of Jaume Ortiz and I am making stronger lights on the exposed side.
Comments and critics are most welcome.
