    Despite all the critics, here's my two cents worth. It's perfect, beautiful painting, there's nothing wrong with the way you paint. Wish I could do so well. I too prefer understated transitions as apposed to harsher contrasts. After all I thought we painted for our own pleasure, and if others find satisfaction in our work so much the better.

    Nice painting John . I think the contrast is about right , I prefer more subtle shading myself . The pants look superb .

    Homellop,Thank you for you opinion and positive feed back.I appreciate your kind words.I tend to pant in a softer style as appose to a harsher one, Just my style. I like to try and create with paint the illusion as close as possible to the look of real fabric etc...always learning and experimenting with techniques. Hope he looks good when he is finished.
