    Hi all,
Just completed this beautiful kit from Knight models of Sir Alec Guinness in his role as Ben Kenobi from Star Wars. Very well sculpted, great likeness and very easy to put together. Mainly painted in oils with Vallejo base coats. The only changes were to scratchbuild a new lightsaber as the old one was too long and also broke as I cleaned it up. I also scratchbuilt the base to replicate the Tatooine landscape.
    Hope you enjoy
    Ben

Nice, I like it a lot. I like the subtle highlights and shading, especially on the tan robe.

High Ben - nicely done indeed - I've just received the Bobba Fett kit and it's in the same league - will be starting it as soon as I get finished with my present projects.

Cheers Jason, Gordy and Marc, glad you like him.
G'day Rob, would love to see how you go about Boba Fett, he does look impressive. I finished a 1/6 scale version a while ago, he's my favorite Baddie character.

    Very cool OB1.
I'm a fan of Star Wars, too.
I saw a first movie at 20 years old.
    I'm homesick.
    I congratulate completion.

    Mitsutaka.

    Hi Ben
A miniature one story from an amazing film by Lucas, amazing selection.
Well, now the figure, a pretty good job only thing I would do with more contrast.
Perhaps a dark background to what made the difference in this your work.
We expect you and other thy servant that I think will be good as this!
    Bravo!!!

Thank you Mitsutaka, one of my childhood favorite films definately.
Alexandros, thanks for the tips, I personally think the flesh has a bit too much contrast for my liking, but maybe the clothing could do with a bit more, Ta
Hi Carl, thanks for your comments.

The Force is strong with this one!!

Great work Ben, the contrasts are subtle and realitsic and suit the muted palette.

An excellent representation of an iconic movie character.
