Thank you very much Paul. I must admit to being quite pleased myself. I think it's one of my better efforts.

Yeah, its a washout. I'm disappointed that Chester le Street is rained off for the cricket.

Roger, how did the Tony Williams sculpted (Pegaso) Confederate figure you painted, turn out? This looks a real nice ACW figure and was plannin' on buyin' one for myself.

Thank you Marc, thats nice to hear. I think the improvements are down to reading a tutorial by your fellow AMSS member Gino Poppe and buying Andrea's acrylic flesh painting set. If you read this Gino, thanks mate:).
Paul the Pegaso Confederate can be seen here,

Roger, this is a very nice figure, I have one in my gray army, begging to be painted.

You are out to a very good start, I'm looking forward to your next step.

    Cheers

Hi Roc. Thank you. I recommend you to start this figure, it's excellent. I'm already planning on painting the 20th Mass. figure after this one I'm that impressed. As for inspiration I'm 3/4 of the way through the first of Shelby Foote's triology about the ACW with more ACW books arriving almost daily.

Looks like a good start. If I may suggest, add deeper shadows to the nose creases, inside of eyes near nose, and crease between eyes near the lower forehead. Consider adding a warmer blush to cheeks, lower nostrils and tip of nose.

    The eyes are well done.

I like the larger scale (well, all of them really...:) MR figgies. I look forward to seeing your blue as I have a Union man in process now myself.

Keith, just found your post between coats of blue:).
Thanks for the tips. I think your right about some deeper shading in those areas, it looks prety much the same at the moment. I also like the other suggestions thank you.
Looking forward to seeing what your working on.
    Cheers,
