This is the 30mm flat that started life as a trooper of 3rd Skinners Horse. The moral of that story is do your research, then check it before reaching for the brushes. ;)

A couple more days work should see this one finished.

Thank you everyone, the colour of the horse was one of those experiments that turned out ok in the end. :)
Keith, unfortunately I'll be at work for this years S&L.
Carl, if you mean what is the difference between the uniforms of 3rd Skinners & 6th the 6th has the red cuff piping. I'll probably paint another as 3rd Skinners after sanding off the engraved piping. The other minor differences can be sorted out with a paint brush.

    Thank you Marc.
I'm really pleased you are giving flats another try. If you need any advice please ask. I'm far from being an expert but I'll do my best to help you out. Which figures did you get?

Cheers ken, I might have got away without anyone noticing but then I'd know and it would have kept me awake at night and then there's the worry of an expert lurking ready to pounce :D

It was from the 1 Euro case. One have a pipe in his mouth and looks a high placed officer. The other one looks like napoleon in coronation robe.
Gonna post some pic's to you this evening.
