Completed 54MM-Scots Guard

    Pete, now the real question since you have brought that great point! To paint Sergeant stripes or repaint the hands! Ugh! Thanks for uniform expertise, I half expected one or two veterans to point out areas I missed. That's why I love this site.

    I used vellejo: Vermilion, and Carmine Red for the base with a touch of Cavalry brown and a little green to soften it. Added vermilion for the highlights. Later I added a touch of scarlet to the highlights. Final highlights were done with Orange Red. For the shadows I used a touch of green and dark Cadium Red.

    Making him a Sergeant would be more complicated. You'd have to add the chevrons (always chevrons in the Guards, never stripes!), add the sash over the right shoulder, and repaint the collar and shoulder badges as they are embroidered in silver for Sergeants. It would be simpler to repaint his hands!
