A Fixture
Hello folks,
Another figure that has been in the shadows for 8 years.
Originally from Modeles et Allures from France, it is more like 60mm, the uniform was 1765 , so i jad to modifiy it with putty , added a head from the no lonher in business JMD miniatures and the hat i cutted the face from the original and adapted to the new head.
This Regiment was dressed in the traditional white with Crimson cuffs and lapels, and one of the few regiments who ignored the 1779 regulation and took their proud banned bearfur hats to the United States, a eye witness account of this regiment paraded in Philadelphia with their pristine white uniform and crimson facings with their bear fur hats and tall plumes which impressed very much the opposite sex ;-)
The Régiment de Soissonnais has a long history in the French armed forces. They fought at the Battle of Fontenoy1745 and the Battle of Yorktown (1781)during the American Revolution..
Cheers
