    Hello Folks,
Here's my third figure from Labayen and i love it!!.
For a change, i will paint a fusilier of the Enghien Regiment.
This regiment had a particular appearance, all white with scarlet piping and scarlet turn backs, which give it a very neat and clean look.
The figure had some defects of the casting, so i fix them with magic sculpt and green stuff.
Already primed the figure and waiting to lay some paint on it.

    Hello folks,
Made some progress on this trooper.
I decided to lay all the base colors to be painted that gives me an idea on the overall balance between the whites.
i decided to use kind of an unusual mix for the hat.
Mixed vallejo german grey, japanese uniform, citadel kermi brown and vallejo game color imperial blue.
i added tamiya flat base to the mix to achieve a very flat color.

You seem to have a production line going there. I'm sure the end product will be excellent. Looking forward to seeing how this develops.

    Cheers

    Nice start Daniel.
It looks like a very good casting with a lot of scope for some more fine painting.
    Watching as always Mate:eek:

    More progress on this chap.
I've mixed the following colors for the coat:
Ivory, japanese uniform, english uniform , light sand and a dab of black.
For the lights i will use the mix plus ivory.
For shadows i will use the mix plus more japanese uniform and last shadows i will use english iniform. 20141129_172113.jpg 20141129_172530.jpg

I decide to paint the lapels and cuffs in a different white, most of the time it was constructed with a slightly different fabric so i decided to take the challenge to try to make 2 different warm whites on the coat.
I am using citadel screaming skull, for lights i add white to the mix.
For shadows i took a bottle of the darkest tone from Andrea white painting kit.

Coat is done, just few touch ups but virtually finished.
i have to say that i am in love with P3 paints.
i've use their ivory color for the last lights.
i painted the scarlet piping with formula P3 Khador red base..

Hello folks, finished the turn backs and painted the Fleur de lys.
I've use a dark burgundy color to paint the fleurs, then added silver grey on top with a texture almost straight from the bottle, that will give depth and make it look like badges.

Keep it going Daniel. You may want to substitute the Labayen rather crude musket with the Metal Modeles' version of the Charleville musket. The differences between the 1777 version and the Year IX (MM-Napoleonic) versions very minor.

Hi Jaybo, i decided not to use the labayen musket since it is very "thin" skinny and bends easily.
The one i am using is an IX model from vid soldiers in ukraine (casted from miniwelt .
I have not seen the metal modeles muskets, i didn't know you could buy them separate!
I will check them out for sure.
Thanks for the useful info :)

MM does sell them and other parts separately. I buy them from either the Red Lancer of MM directly. The year IX is easily modified into earlier versions of the Charleville. Bon chance.
