    Hi All,

Here is my first post for 2012. Its my first foray into Oils and and first Mounted Kit. It's an older Andrea kit and it was full of lessons learned. This kit really stretched my modeling skills as well as painting skill.

The horse in in Oils, the rest is acrylics.

    All comments welcome.

    Thanks

Mike, good effort. I remember these older Andrea figures only fit together where they touch!!

Unless it's your lighting, there appears to be a shine to the cloth. What under coat did you use? I find three thin coats of Humbrol and a spell in the oven drives the oil away giving a very flat finish.;)

Mike, Mike, Colin, Jason, Marc, Davide and Xeneofon, Thanks for taking the time to look and comment. I appreciate the feedback.

Mr. Lane as usual you have a good eye.(y) There is some shine on the top of the Neck and Hind Quarters. I should have sped cured the oils. Like I said lesson learned. I do like the properties of oils. I'll see what I can do on the next one. But it will be a while. This project was taxing to say the least. Its undercoated in Acrylics. Thanks sir!

    Hey Pedro,

Thanks for taking a look. The horse is painted in oils over acrylics.

John thanks for taking the time to look and comment.
