Hello folks,
I have received 4 figures from Triguard Miniatures ( NZ).
These figures will be part of a small vignette portrying a scene from the battle of Minden, August 1759 in which British forces along with allies won a great victory over the French inflicting heavy loss on the enemy cavalry.
This regiment will be the 25th foot who fought bravely against the French cavalry, on the other side i will have 3 mounted Cuirassiers du Roi that i have previously posted several months ago and still on the work bench for finishing touch ups.
Cheers

I had few hours to work on these chaps.
I have layed the red base color using citadel Mephiston red with a few drops of the new contrast Blood Angels red.
As for the yellow i've used citadel sumerland yellow with a dab of vallejo flat brown.
As for the lace , used vallejo silver grey piped in red as for the reference.

Excellent work as usual Daniel. The soldier on the painting is armed with a basket hilted claymore, was the 25th a Scotish regiment?

Thanks my friend, and yes, this regiment was raised in Edinburgh around mid 1600's, hence the claymore.
I will have to try to reproduce that, not sure if that claymore was used only by grenadiers and regular brass hilt sword for fusiliers, i will need some research on that.

The 25th went on to form the Kings Own Scottish Borderers now part of the Royal Regt of Scotland

Thanks Kev, as you know Brit uniforms is not my usual, so, it takes sometime to research and get the details right.

Made more progress on these fellas, fixed some areas , painted the black leather cartridge boxes and worked on the gaiters.
I am in the proces to convert the sword hilt to a claymore basket.
Once i finish that i will work on more details on their faces .
