Hello Planeteers,
Moving to another project related to my Diorama of Fontenoy.
I've got this figure form Triguard Miniatures, The Marquis de Montcalm .
I am makeing this figure to resemble Marshall de Saxe, the main figure at Fontenoy and King Louis XV.
The figure is suitable for that , the uniform is right except that for some reason it did not have lace on the sleeves and sides of the back, no biggie, just added that with a simple mix of brownstuff and replicated the lace detail using the pattern of an exacto knife pressed on the putty.
I will get King Louis figure at a later point, it will require some conversion.
The uniform of the period for general staff was the Royal blue with a liberal amount of gold lace, red vest and troussers, for some reason Marshall the saxe is shown with buff vestand troussers and thst is how i will portray him.
Cheer!

Still working on the last details on the lace, coat is done.
Face is done, , hat and hair done ( not pictured, yet)
I've use scale 75 Abyss blue as a base, added Andrea Blue ( Andrea Acrylics) for lights and black to the mix for shadows.
For the lace i've used Vallego game cpr "Glorious gold", and a diluted vallejo Sepia ink

Hahah, i knew you would eventually see it ;-)

Fontenoy rulezz!!! Another nice character for this battle. I really can't wait to see what the whole scene will look like. So go for it :)

Cheers Borek :) :) ;)

Thanks my friend!
I am tryimg to have the main actors done before i go back and complete the French and swiss guards.

I have finished the coat, pants, vest and sash and hair on Mr Saxe.
The boots need some details.
I have finished the horse furnishings and housings.
I added lead foil for the lace on the horse mantel and used the tip of an xacto knife, it has a great pattern , i've pressed against the lead foil to create the lace pattern.
As for the forward side of the mantel i've simply used greenstuff putty and again, pressed the end of the xacto Knife to create the lace pattern.
