I am starting 4 figures of the Gatinois Regiment today.
2 flagbearer officers and 2 drummers.
Most of the Regiment stationed in the Caribbean had drummers recruited from the local colonies, Gatinois was serving in Martinique from 1775 until July 1783.

Started tonwork on the white coats today....

As I have said before I stand in awe before your sheer courage and determination in undertaking such "huge" subjects.I am also mighty impressed by the depth of your knowledge on what seems to be your favorite subject.I am also no less impressed by your painting skills.I am really looking forward to seeing this completed.It will be monumental I think.

Thank you for such a kind words Oda, and yes, the AWI is one of my favorite subjects, most of the 18th century military History is.

Coat is finished , except for the turnbacks.

The base for the "Royal Blue" coat is scale 75 Dark Blue, added some mellejo Medium Blue for lights
