Starting to add some paint on this chap...
As for the flag, rather than order one from GMB or flag dude i am painting over one extra flag of gatinais that i had order by mistake, so i am going to make use of it. 20161104_231456.jpg 20161104_231503.jpg fl_agenw-1.gif

The officer it 's almost finished, all left to do is the lights on its face , some touch ups on the hat and paint the ruffle cuffs of his shirt.
I start it the work on the flag, re-paint it the colors of Agenais and need to add lights and shadows, paint the flag pole .
I went to home depot and got some twisted wire for free, free it's always good. 20161107_215629.jpg 20161107_215649.jpg

I am starting at a mounted officer of the Gatinois Regiment, the figure is a Mounted continental officer from front rank, i will get rid of the most prominent features of the continental coat ( mainly the long lapels and turndown collar), added some edges to the hat and will modify the pistol holsters.
I will also work on making vertical pockets typical of the 1779 regulation uniform that specify long vertical pockets for those regiments having silver buttons. 20161118_083040.jpg 20161118_083047.jpg 20161118_081141.jpg

Finished the stand up collar, and upper edges of the lapels, added the buttons, and added 3 large buttons below the right lapel.
I also finished the vertical pockets and buttons.
This officer is ready for some paint 20161118_135250.jpg 20161118_135312.jpg

That colour bearer looks great full of attitude and a great facing colour .

The mounted officer already looks a great project ...what I like is the incredible accuracy of all your pieces .

Looking forward to seeing more ...soon !

We are all good too. Back home in La Belle France after 3 weeks out of the studio. The problem is when you are away and not sculpting/painting you come up with so many great projects that you will not live long enough to fulfil.
The one who always comes out on top is Harry (our dog). No matter where we go he always ends up with a girlfriend. Holiday romances, those were the days.
All the best Mate and looking forward to the horses taking on some colour,
    Keith
