Thank you Guy, this really is a beautiful figure to paint.
I'm going with blue/grey trousers, what do you think?

Looks very good as says Guy and go on with blue/grey trousers. I think it would be accurate.

I think you went there already, but why not ... I 'm so envious to see website and associations like that who save their country's memory.
Pictures of Antietam and gettysburg battlefields are impressive.

    Hi Roger,

Well that looks good so far ! Colours of the tunic and rank stripes are good !!Are you really going to do the trousers in fed. sky blue ? I think sky blue trousers were indeed supplied to them, but personally I'd prefer dark green... If I recall well, the Bill Horan 54mm version which won best of show at euromilitaire years ago had green trousers too, and it looked good.

Thank you Johan. I was just talking to someone else about that Horan figure. It was on the cover of Mil Mod magazine and iirc it did have green trousers.
It took me ages to make my mind up to paint the trousers sky blue, please don't make me change my mind again:D

Thank you Rafa, hopefully I will have a nice figure at the end.:)

It's now put away for the month I'm away at sea, so this is how it looks up to this point.
