    Update...

Getting really close with this one. Up to this point, kepi is done, coat is done (minus a couple of touch ups I noticed around the yellow piping ). The strap is done as well. The buttons are based only... highs and inks to come.

Left now is the hand holding the sword... a tanned leather gauntlet with a 3 bar cavalry sabre.

Any comments, critics or suggestions are most welcome. Thanx for looking in.

    Magnificent painting Colin.
He is really progressing in style. I like your subtle blue tones, not the easiest to get right.

Thanks a ton Keith. Dark blue is one colour I'm becoming really comfortable with.... As Roger said earlier in this thread, seems like the last few figs I've done had a lot of blue. As I look at the next few in line, they have a lot of blue too. Oh no, I believe I'm in a rut... And it's making me feel blue

    Thanx again buddy

Thanx for the kind words Bob. Working on the last two busts, at this larger scale than I'm used to, it's like starting over... Everything feels different than painting 54s and 75s.
    Kinda fun learning new techniques.

    Thanks again Bob
