Just completed this one, a sculpt by Mike Blank. Beautiful figure and great pose. I have painted him as a 2nd Lt of 4th US infantry, 5 corps, Army of the Potomac, 1863.
Painted in acrylics and oil for the face.

Nap The colours used were
For the frock coat : Base coat, Scalecolor Deep blue with a touch of black. Highlight is a AK interactive blue tank crew base added to the base coat, then AK interactive blue tank crew base with a touch scalecolor violet as a lighter highlight.
The trousers were AK interactive blue tank crew lights with field blue added.
I am lucky that I have a swatch of cloth used to make the trousers for living historians of the ACW. The corp badge is one I brought from the States,when over there for 150th Cedar Creek
re enactment.

In fact, the highest compliment I can pay is that having seen this, I really fancy that figure now!

Very nicely realized figure Bob, beautiful painting. A little less contrasting to my taste, but still hilarious. Moreover, the degree of contrast is a matter of personal perspective . The terrain on the pedestal is great. As a whole really well done
