Why is it that I don't want this thread to end? I had to go over ever posting more than once.

Your vision and talent is something we can all aspire to some day.

    WOW!

Hello Ivo. Yesterday I visited Dunrobin Castle here in the far north of Scotland, the ancestral home of the Duke of Sutherland who was colonel of the 93rd Highlanders. In the castle there is one room given over to military items and there I made a surprise discovery concerning the regimental colour carried at Lucknow in 1857. The photographs show such a colour, this being one that was presented to the 93rd in 1857 but after the Indian Mutiny. You will see that battle honours are clearly shown and include Lucknow and the Relief of Lucknow. Is it too much to deduce that the colour carried at Lucknow is the same as this but without the two Lucknow battle honours? The item shown is in quite poor condition and some parts of the colour are missing but enough survives to show the complete design, I think. What do you think? Excellent work on the von Rattsky Hussar Ivo.
Looking forward to seeing this one progress.
Your posting of the uniform details was most timely for me, as I've just managed to get hold of an original Post Militaire version:-
