We'd like to announce the start of our 2010 Fundraising Project. We've selected 2 items for conservation this year. The first sre the Colors of the 149th PA lost and recovered on the 1st day at Gettysburg near the McPherson Farm. The second is the frock coat, gloves, and sash belonging to Capt Isaac Nicolls, 124the NY (the Orange Blossoms). Capt Nicolls was KIA on July 2nd 1863 at the Devils Den. That unit and action has been caught on canvas by Don Troiani's "The Men Must See Us Today". All pieces will be placed on display at the Visitors Center Museum at the Gettysburg National Battlefield Park this summer. Both items are directly related to the battle at Gettysburg and are great tie in’s to our show 16-18 July 2010 in Gettysburg.
I'll be posting more info on the artifacts, the show, and the actual fundraising events from time to time. You can also check out our website for more info once updated
