200mm Praetorian Cavalry Decurion

    As is well known all Roman cavalry units were Auxillary units. The figure is modelled with the Northwich helmet with a stand and fall horsehair plume, although a fore and aft crest would have done as well. He is armed with a spatha, hung from the right hip and an hexagonal shield with scorpions which is a decoration associated with the Praetorian guard. He is wearing short trousers and turned over boots, as befitting his rank:

    This is a problem. The larger the figure, by and large the less shading is required. However I would like to see one of my figures painted by one of the masters who post on this site.
