A bit more progress. the back of the Balmoral (officers TOS) needs a bit of attention with regard to the seam lines and the addition of the bow. The bow was made with some scrap foil from a wine bottle.

I redid the camouflage on the DPM jacket as I wanted it to look more worn / washed... it still needs to be shaded.

Other progress was in adding the BFA pouch to the side of the right ammo pouch and the in adding the poncho roll anchor points to both ammo pouches.

Am considering scratching a water bottle pouch...

Next step is to finish off the face and headdress... to depict him in the rain with little pink rivulets running down his cheek from the hackle or not...

All comments / suggestions greatly received...

Hi Paul,

I have... though supposedly depends on where you picked the hackle up from.. the ones from RHQ used to run...

It gives a lovely pink hue to add to the delight of barrybuddon or otterburn... well at least adds some amusement for the jocks!

Many thanks for the comment.

Culty is nice - have v fond memories of the old accommodation blocks there with the coal stoves in the middle of the room...

Must do a visit next time I'm back

In the summer I can't think of finer surroundings.
The ford through the river in the trees below the camp was a joy.
A swim to wash the day away, before walking down to Comrie for a dram or ten, a wonderful way to spend some of my spare time.
A foot of snow in the winter makes it a rugged place I admit, but there was a different beauty about the hillls around you then.

A bit more progress...

Webbing pouches added... including the corrected right ammo pouch and small details added such as the poncho roll clip rings... pouches are just base colour painted.

Pocket created on the right leg... just the button to add.

All comments welcome
