This horse is even better then that on the flat before this. It has alot more contrast on the right places. The tale could use some more highlight's.
    Excellent start.

Thank you Marc. Glad the lessons I learnt from the last one are evident. I've actually added highlights to the tail & mane earlier today . I'll take some photo's and show you what's been done this afternoon. Coming soon.

    Really nice Roger,
To get off that grey shine over the mane and tail you could use a wash with burnt umber. Several light washes will do the job. On this pictures the horse looks so old.
And i'm sure it wasn't old because it looks that this guy could pay a younger one.

Thanks Marc I think I'll give that a try. I'm still not totally happy with the horse so I'm still playing around with it. :)

    Hi Roger

please can you show us a photo with a darker background? It seems to me that the background you used makes everything to shiny. It is difficult for me to decide what are the highlights of the figure or what where is the background responsible for the lights on the figure.

Very nice work so far Roger.
I like the horse very much but one remark. The highlight spot on the bellyback is not the right color. It should be darker, not the highlight color.
And i also would like to see the highlight's more faded into the basecolor.
But that are my only remarks on your good work. (hope it sounded not to hard)

Thanks Marc, I've still got quite few corrections to make so I'll take a look at those areas you pointed out.

Don't worry it didn't sound too hard.... I can take it :)

Very nice, Roger!! The "depth" in the blues is really nifty!

    All the best,
