WIP 1st british airborne buste

    Hi all,

    After some time without painting I want to share my latest project. Again a young miniatures this time with a face full caracter.

    All painted with vallejo

    Oh, very nice. You are doing a splendid job of the the paint work, the skintones are superb.. I just think the sculpt has made him a little bit to "well fed" to be a para... lol

    Thanks Henk. Well I guess not all para’s were skinny guys. I love that this face is different form other Young miniatures.

    I would add a set of wings to the right shoulder

    I want to call it finished but I want to take the advice to add the para wing do you have to wait..

    Are you sure that's not real rope.... outstanding in every way, the texture of the rope and webbing is superb.

    I'm in two minds about the wings. Officially no badges or rank insignia were allowed on the smock, but (as usual in almost any army..lol) that regulation was widely ignored. Photographic evidence shows that either no markings were fixed at all, as well as a wide variety of wings, airborne shoulder banners, pegasus badges, rank insignia, either would be right, but to keep in scale, you need to sculpt the wings with putty, as just painting them on won't give the effect of a sewn on patch..
