These two 54mm flats from Fredericus Rex are now nearing completion but still a little bit of work to do yet. Comments critique welcome.

Thank you Marcel. It shouldn't be too long before I have some pics of them finished.

    Good work Roger,
IN my opinion you should rework the eyes.
And then some more highlighting to bring color and form into the figure.
But that is just my opinion.

Hey Marc, if I wasn't interested in opinions I wouldn't post pics of my work, I'd just stumble along blindly and not improve.

The eyes, in my opinion, :D are ok, the photo's aren't quite sharp enough to see what I can looking at the figs in real life. When I take some more photo's I'll try and make them better and if you're still of the same opinion I'll certainly go back to them :)

If you mean the highlighting of the reds I tend to agree with you.
This has been done, redone and painted out again. I haven't been happy with my attempts so far. This is an area I will be looking at so thanks.

As usual Marc thank you for taking the time to look and offer your advice, much appreciated mate.

Lovely painting Roger. I've never done a flat before, but I admire the skill required to make a 2 dimensional object look 3D. I think you've succeeded admirably.

    John, Tony, thanks fella's.

Still tinkering away on these. I don't think completion date is far away though:)

Cheers Dan, good practice for a little two figure flat vignette I have lined up and then more of these I think.
