So as not to loose my painting ability whilst making the German Dragoon I have been painting another Chota Sahib figure. A little more complex than the previous ones but as always with these wonderful figures a joy to paint.

Painted entirely in acrylics over a cellulose grey primer and mounted on a small resin plinth from Marc Day at Sovereign 2000.

Hi Mr Briggsy

Where’s this come from!! .....lovely piece of painting , a nice CS Figure particularly the facial work and the dark blue uniform

A fine addition to your display cabinet

Thanks for sharing ....why not support the competitions in the class of your choice as well

Happy benchtime

oooh! stirs wonderful memories of Sid Horton's articles in Airfix Magazine back in the day- converting Airfix 54mm Hussars into 17th Lancers etc.
I very much cut my converting teeth on those.
Nice job, by the way...!

Ha I had to have something to do while the Magicsculpt cured, this is one I struggled with back in the day (80's) mind I had other things to occupy my time back then, Aldershot wasn't such a bad place!

I'll pop this one in the comp, hint taken

Cheers Simon

The good old days when the UK hobby was in it's heyday. I do love these figures and yes the Airfix, haven't done one of them since the late 80's, unfortunately it's long gone now. If I could sculpt half as well as Sid did I'd be a happy man.

Lovely paint job Simon. Good idea to keep your hand in while working on another project, that's something I should try to do.

Thank you Nigel, I find if I leave it too long I have to relearn bits which is so frustrating and then there are the gaps waiting for putty to cure, so I may as well utilise the time as I can't just sit and watch TV.

Wow, another stunning figure, hope to see him in the flesh at the Faversham show.

Malc

Many thanks Malc, not sure about this one travelling too much, I don't think there I'd enough strength left in the lance after bending so many times painting. Yes I know I should have swapped it for a brass rod, I've run out!

Cheers Simon
