Here is another figure that was recently completed. This time it is a 16th Lancer from the battle at Aliwal 1846. I wanted to try a bit of a different approach to a mounted subject, as such I choose to do a falling horse.

The horse is a converted Historex horse, Milliput Yellow/Gray and Duro was used for the re-sculpting parts. The head is a Thunderbird Miniatures head and the strapping was done with plastic strips. The figure was sculpted out of Duro/Magic Sculpt mix, the head is one that Gordy sculpted a while back for Hardcorps Models. The torso is from Elite Miniatures 16th lancer kit.

The horse was painted with oils and Humbrols and the figure was painted with Vallejo, Andrea and Reaper acrylics.

    That looks painful, ouch:inpain:!

You pulled off a real beauty here Anders, and you are obviously comfortable using different media as they are all handled really well. Awesome results (y)!
