I started with some brown and red mix for a base , and built up with Vallejo fleshtones finishing with a white/orange red mix. I followed the flesh with a red glaze and a matt varnish to tie it together. The beard is painted with sand acrylic and cad yellow/yellow ochre/ tit white oils. The helm is alclad pale burnt metal base, steel shadows. And the horns are abt501 mud/burnt umber/ ivory black over a cream acrylic base.
there is still plenty of work to do . Trousers, hands, axe and Wings. !
    regards

got some more done, not my best work, I think its the expanses of space as I'm used to doing smaller things. Just need to work on boots, and give it a once over.. Horns are oils over acrylics as are the wings and the haft of the axe.

So thorgrim is all done and my friend was happy with the finished result. I still have a lot to learn and am looking forward to building my skills. Where could I have done better on this?
I have a Fer bust on the way and am going to get stuck in straight away, the resources on this forum are awesome and have given me much to read in preparation. Keep your eyes peeled . J
