    Gents,
Finally finished the Wolf schutze bust (1:9 scale).
Skin is done in oils, the rest are acrylics.

Hochmaister is getting the banner painted :)
Teh just have to finish smaller details like gloves etc. and off to the groundwork.
I can finaly see the light at the end of the tunnel ;)

    Arthur,

Great work on the figures. But i really like that Hochmeister. What a great red and white. Can you tell more off how you did it. I'm so curious about that.
    Great work.

    Marc,
    Thanks Buddy!
I airbrushed it first with acrylics (red and white), then I went over it with oils.
I used pure red+violet for the shadows and pure red + yellow for the highlites. The very final
touches to the highlite parts of the reds were done with translucent layer of yellow.
My camera unfortunatelly flattens it all
The white lion was then painted by hand with acrylics (it was supposed to be more sofisticated like the one on the box :( ) and was outlined with a black drafting pen.
    Hope this helps :)
    Cheers,
    A.

Arthur, nice job on the bust. I really like your transitions between your highs and shadows. Your Teutonic Knight is FABULOUS! I'm probably going to strip mine as I wasn't happy with the way it turned out anyway. How did you freehand that heraldry? Show us in a SBS if you can! ;) I wouldn't worry too much about not getting the detail like the boxart had. In the pictures of this original banner, it didn't have the embelished detail. Looks good for the artistic part but, not 100% accurate. I also that Royal figure. I too have it and it will probably be my first attempt at camo....if I ever get to it :(

Great job on all of them (y)

    Arthur,

Thanks for explaning. Shadowing with red and violet is new to me. I always looking for shadowing with a complementair color. I'll try it the next time. The glace with yellow (i think you did a glace) is familliar but i never give it a try (to scared to ruin the figure). Now i see that it is possible.
And as Jim i hope you have that SBS for the heraldic.
You did a tremendous job, it is almost my birthday and i know what i will add to my wishlist.

    Jim,
    Thank you :)
I have stripped the knight once already as well :( but sometimes it is worth taking a risk and starting all over.
I promise I will do an SbS on a banner next time around (there are few mounted knights waiting to be painted ;) ).
The grenadier has indeed an intricate "pea" camo on,... but the pose is just too good to pass over.

    Marc,
It was a yellow glaze indeed ;)
As mentioned above I will do an SbS on the next banner.
    Happy New Year Guys!
