A couple of weeks ago, Steve Readdie sent me an assortment of his available weapons for review. As there were so many I decided to break them down by scale and review some of the weapons he has available for each scale. I chose 1/9th as the first scale to review. Reedees Miniatures does have several more weapons in his 1/9th scale size but are not reviewed this time.

Arriving in two sizes of clear hard plastic blister packs with the larger rifles also wrapped in bubble wrap and taped into the blister pack to prevent the rifle from moving. The smaller weapons were loosely packaged inside the respective blister packs.

To get a better idea of the sculpting detail I decided to divide the weapon in two showing the top and bottom of each side. The bottom photo above shows the tripod that attaches to the underside of the rifle.

Once again the above 1860 and 1873 Colt revolver kits come with 2 guns in each kit.

    Conclusion:
Remarkable weapons with excellent detail and sculpting. Minimal flashing and casting blocks to be removed. Highly recommended to personalize a 1/9th scale bust of 200mm figure.

Thanks Tony. These are much needed acessories and weapons that haven't been available before. I am anxious to see how they will be added to a bust to personalize it more. I am glad to see Steve produce them.

Wow, these weapons are incredible, the detail and the excellence in the
castings. And I understand from Steve, that he is going to offer equipment
in various scales, as well as helmets.

Thanks Guy for the fine review,

    Hi Paul,

Just posted your parcel this afternoon so should be with you soon.

As for the 240b and m249SAW they are both good options for the 1/16 range of weapons, it is something I will look into for future releases.

    All the best

Steve amazing detail work, I wouldn't be the first to say these would look great as individual pieces on a base (y)
Although in fact I might be second as I pinched the idea off Dennis.
    Good luck with these mate.

    Cheers Ken
