    Hi all,

Its been a while since I have posted anything. Still having trouble getting motivated but here is my latest finished work.

It is a 1/35 Darius wedgie of a US Half Track circa August 1944. The German SS Officer is Mantis Miniatures and the Americans are from Five Fly Models (can't remember which company makes them).
All painted in acrylic and airbrush for the Half Track. I have purposely painted the German in a very clean style to show his so called 'superiority' over his American POW's which I have tried to paint in a battle weary state.
The photos are not the best as the light has bleached out some of the colour, but hope you get the idea and enjoy.

    Please critique away....

    Thanks,
    Sam Brayne

That's a nice vignette Sam. I particularly like the different height levels you used.

Nice little vignette Sam. The figures and the wreck are all top-drawer. Funnily enough I only fished this wedgie out of the stash yesterday, pondering over what to do with it.

The wounded Americans are made by New World Miniatures, who incidentally are ceasing trading on 31st December (I read this somewhere on here yesterday).

Outstanding. . . hard to believe this is 1:35th.

You composition is very strong. Having the German at a higher lever was
an excellent choice re eye appeal, etc. etc.

    Sam,

Nice work. Is the seemingly blue hint to the German's breeches and the green tint to the US jacket as result of the photos (you mentioned they're a bit "off")?

Love the feel and the story of this wedgie, you can almost get the feeling of loss on the US soldiers faces. My only comment would be to add a bit more weathering and dirt, esspecially to the halftrack section to blend it into the base a bit, giving it a uesed and wrecked look. Figures are great
