    I'd have to disagree with you there Chris. They look like haircuts I've seen in period photos of US troops, and look like guys who have just taken off their helmets. The Haircuts of germans were more severely cropped at the back and sides and generally longer on top IMHO. Unless prior to D-Day the airborne had closer cropped hair. Still thats just my opinion.

    It may seem trivial to some, but I really like the gathering of material just above their belts, it looks so natural from my perspective.
