The boots look like Viet-Nam issued jungle boots, also if those are laces wrapped around the boot's,they should be tucked inside the upper lip of the boot. Nice work so far, what weapon will he be holding?
There is a ton of reference out there so just ask if you need help,I would rather have a correct modern figure than a poor one.Mrosko

    Looks good Seo.

Chris, I know what you mean, but I think the boots are okay. They look like the Danner desert boots the guys are wearing.

Hard to to tell without the whole figure, but I would like to see the right foot rotated a little more to the right. He looks a little off balance.

How did you do the laces and eyes of the boots. They're excellent. I can't wait to see the progress.

Give the desert Oakleys a try! ;)

You need to also consider that most troops "blouse" their trousers over the boots

Ho Seo, that is one fine looking modern soldier. It looks like you listened to John's advice about repositioning the left foot. Is this true? It certianly looks different from the previous photos. One thing of note though. Your shirt isn't fitting this soldier quite right. We modern soldiers have the bottom of our shirts will go all the way to the top of the cargo pocket on the thigh or at leat no more than an inch to 1 1/2 inches above the cargo pocket. At the very least, I think maybe the shirt should be a little longer as you shouldn't see the the back pockets at all. Regardless, I personally think it's a fine looking figure so far. You absolutely nailed the folds and drapery on the trousers. Looking really authentic ;) (y)
