1/35 Soviet tank officer in padded jacket figure, by Sovereign 2000

This is my first out the box review, of a new resin figure available soon from www.Sovereign2000.uk.com

The figure arrived in the post simply packaged in a white box with foam padding , no artwork on this one.

The figure comes broken down into four molded pieces with no standing base, good detail and only one visible injection mold at the rear of the head at neck level, an easy fix for any modeller. The resin casting points are easily removed and cleaned up with blade and file.

The head can be easily painted separate from the rest of the figure, this is pretty standard mould practice these days, always nice to see as it really helps with the painting process.

The main torso, legs and boots have good detail, the recesses on the padded jacket look great for that authentic WW2 look.

The holster and padded tank crew helmet are already attached and tucked into the waist band; on a plastic figure I would expect these items to be separate, the resin detail is very good so no problem.

With details like the helmet and holster already attached it may create a bit of a challenge for painting, most modellers should achieve a good paint finish though.

Overall a very nice 1/35 figure that would look great in any WW2 Russian tank scene, or as a stand-alone figure.
