    Hi All,
Don't know if a lot of people saw this. It is 1/16 scale (M1A1 Abrams Tank)
    I Scratch-Built this about 17 years ago.
It's Titled "Another One Bites the Dust"The T-62 Turret is also Scratch-Built
It took 8 months to build it.
I am thinking of building another one , but a M1A2 Abrams..Maybe in 1/9 scale..
    Hope you like it..

    Feedback is always welcome.

    Cheers,
    Andy Meyers

    Hi Mark,
They where Modified Verlinden Figure's, also did some scratch building on the Helmets. At the time Verlinden was the only one that had Modern Figures.
I started building this when "Desert Storm" started
    Glad you like....Thanks.

    Cheers,

Andy, that is impressive! Well executed and I hate to admit it, but I love the touch of the familiar orange cooler in the back bin. Fun piece!

    Thanks Jay,
I saw a lot of Abrams Tanks with orange cooler's , so I had to put one in.
It adds some color to the model.
Did you see the "Ritz Crackers"

    Didnt this appear in FSM?

I think I recall seeing this years ago in Fine Scale Modeler years ago.

Was impressed then, and am impressed still.

On my long term projects wish list is a BMP-1 in a similar scale, opened up. (Glutton for punishment, that project)

Still this is an impressive 'Feat of Arms'

    thumbs up
    cheers

    Thanks Guy's,

Jamie.....You have a very good memory..Years ago that was in Fine Scale Modeler.
You should try to build the BMP-1....That would be a cool project in 1/16 scale.

Thanks Groet, for the compliment's..Glad you like it..

    Cheers,

    Andy

Great work Andy, very impressive at this scale. Loads of lovely little details to draw the eye. I saw the Ritz crackers and also a Playboy hiding behind a box of .50 cal ammo.

Thank you Tony...You saw the Playboy......

I found that when Playboy had a cover with all the Playboys published.
So I went back to the year Desert Storm started and scaled it out.

Some day I would like to Scratch build a Challenger Tank. Another big project for my list of stuff to do some day...........

    Cheers,

120mm ? there is nothing left of a 120mm round after it is fired but a small butt plate that is why I asked the size and make of ammo.
How soon on the 1/9th dude?

    Chris,
I will make a note of that.
So when you Scratch Build your Abrams Tank you will fix that..

About the Seal figure: I am working on it...Be patience.....It will be out soon.

I do this part time. It's not my full time job. I had to finish up a Very big job for a client of mine ..... Priorities first.

    Been There done that!

I did it when I helped design the Dragon kit years ago, I had no ideal that the 120mm round disintegrated? I was used to seeing the big steel casings laying around from the old 105mm rounds.
    All the best!
