Your drapery is great and the boots are impressive too.

    Nice, very nice.

Would love to see a tutorial or SBS on how you do your figures, or even how you do hands and faces!

So far, though, this figure looks great!

    Cheers

PS- You usually 'wet' carve, don't you? great results (after years of practice :D)

Absolutely stunning work, great drapery. Being a fairly new member I'm not familiar with any of your previous work and would love to know what material you use and the technique to achieve the folds and creases.
    Thanks for showing

Well you don't seem to be struggling very much Taesung!

What a supurb figure! I particularly like the way you've represented the cotton material of the zeltbahn, and the gewehr 43 instead of the usual k98.

    Cheers,
    Jon.

Struggling seems a strange choice of words when looking at this figure! Looks like you're rockin' this one! Keep us posted, looking forward to seeing it completed.

I would like to "struggle" half as much on anything I sculpt. Personally I find that the project that prove to be the most most stressful turn out being one of my better attempts. ~Gary

Wow, this is awesome, great pose and realistic folds on the uniform. Are there any kit parts in this or have you sculpted all of it?

Top notch piece. What sculpting medium are you using?

Thanks for the kind words, gents.
I use Ave's Apoxie Sculpt. It works fine for me so far.
Some of the grey parts you see in the pics are resin
castings of parts I made for multiple usages.

I'm struggling with the 2 different methods of making
loose drapes such as great coat and zeltbahn.
    I used 2 different approaches:
    1. make a thin sheet of putty and wrap it around
the figure for smooth flowing down appearance.
    2. apply putty and mold the volume and detail: the conventional way.

They both have pros and cons. It was a learning process...

I also had some issues with overall size of the armature and separation
of it. Once you start to separate parts, it's easy to lose the original measurements.
Also, because of the complicated layers of the uniforms, I had to rework the
    armature and pose constantly.

I recommend any sculptors to take pics of the in-progress shots.
It allows you to see things that you didn't through naked eyes.

Thanks for sharing both what you are struggling with and how you are approaching it.

I can see how the flat sheet vs volume sculpting can have way different bonuses and approaches....

    Love the whole sculpt..

Hi Taesung , just want to chime in and say really great piece of work you are doing here with this sculpt. Love the pose and sense of movement in it - looking forward to adding this to my collection.

A question if I may - Regarding the future would you consider doing a 1/16th Fallschrimjager? I would love to see you do one if it was viable.

Something along the lines of the one you are doing here , some movement carrying a weapon or two.

Options could be Normandy / Cassino / Eastern front - Jump smocks or the heavy winter suit - MP40/Kar98/MP44 / Panzerfaust / Tellermine ?

Just a suggestion and as such you are best placed to know what works for your company :)

    Best regards

    Måk

    Wow Taesung

I really like this figure and his stance.
I hope you do more in 1/16. I would like to see you do a winter crew for the new 1/16 king tiger in 1/16...............mabe 2x 3/4 figures and one 1/2 driver figure.

Anyway I have always liked your work and figures and hope you and your company keep bringing out figures for a long time to come. Sooner or later I am expecting a 1/16 modern U.S figure for Iraq ( non digital) holding a machinegun :)
