    The trim is "royal blue" - it is definitely blue in colour when you see it first hand, just very dark. The officers buttons are highly polished...

    Napoleonic era piper. With regard to the diced hose. A large red 'diamond' would be sat at the front of the shin... the rest of the pattern falls...
