Another option is to switch out the head for one with an older style shako or an elite company fur colpack(sp?) if that makes you more comfortable. Looking forward to seeing progress on this (I have the same figure on my bench as 2nd Regt.)

Static, yes, but I always liked the classic poses from Metal Modeles, not eveyhing has to be action packed. And this time we get a figure posed with a horse, rather than simply mounted. I also like both as they are, but enjoy considering the possibilities for conversions based on simple head...

I love the figure, and the overall paintjob, but I think Mirosoft is right... the fingernails do look a little weird.
